Founded in 2016 at Imperial College London and University College London (UCL), Bramble Energy, through revolutionary hydrogen fuel cell design and manufacturing techniques has developed the unique, patent protected, printed circuit board (PCB) fuel cell – the PCBFC™. The PCBFC™ was born out of the desire to create hydrogen fuel cells (and other electrochemical devices) using materials and manufacturing techniques with well-established supply chains; thereby solving perhaps the greatest barriers to the adoption of fuel cells; manufacturing complexity, scale-up, form factor adaptability and crucially, cost.

Bramble Energy’s core business is two-pronged:

1. In collaboration with BOC (a member of the Linde Group) Bramble Energy are developing a suite of portable power hydrogen fuel cell products ranging between 20 W – 1 kW. The use cases for these unit are plentiful and include providing power for; surveillance and alarm systems, light towers, temporary traffic lights, military applications and diesel genset replacements, to name just a few.

2. In the medium term, in collaboration with a commercial partner, Bramble Energy are developing liquid cooled, high power density fuel cell stacks and systems primarily for mobility applications up to 50 kW
