Hydrogen Scotland Conference 2024 explored the scale-up of low-carbon hydrogen production and the development of local supply chains for hydrogen production and demand, together with opportunities to export hydrogen into wider markets. The conference, exhibition, and workshop activities across both days shared Hydrogen Scotland member activities and celebrated achievements with hydrogen deployment and building the wider hydrogen supply chain.
10:30 to 11:00: Coffee and networking
The workshop and seminar activities on Day 1 will provide opportunities for a deep dive into topics which will be featured or discussed in the four conference sessions on Day 2. Room allocations for the Tuesday, 29th Oct workshops, seminar & showcase programme are in the table below.
The timing of the sessions allows for morning coffee 10:30-11:00, lunch 12:30-13:30 and afternoon coffee 15:00-15:30, giving delegates time for networking and to visit the exhibition stands (Platinum, Gold, Silver).

The panel discussions in each of the three ‘Make It – Move & Store It – Use It’ sessions will be informed by the findings of the Day 1 workshop sessions. Content for each session is 12-minute speaker presentations, allowing time for a quick question after each presentation, then brief panellist introductions followed by 30 minutes of panel discussion with questions taken from the session chair and audience. Timing of the conference sessions allows for morning, lunch and afternoon breaks for networking and time to visit the exhibition stands

The Stewart Dow Memorial Award acknowledges and encourages individuals or groups who are passionate about the development and deployment of hydrogen and fuel cells. The UK Hydrogen Energy Association (HEA) and Hydrogen Scotland jointly support the award.
This is your chance to nominate an individual or group that has developed practical solutions or innovative products, successfully commercialised fuel cells in new applications, or brought people together in a collaborative way. Self-nominations are also welcome.

If hydrogen is going to play a major role in future energy, it’s crucial to involve and inspire students and younger generations. The Hydrogen Scotland Conference offers a platform for students to present their innovative ideas, research, and knowledge to the larger Hydrogen Scotland community.
Our previous winners have gone on to contribute excellent work in various academic and other positions.
