As part of the James Hutton Institute’s Climate-Positive Farming Initiative, HydroGlen aims to provide a scalable and replicable hydrogen model for rural areas to transition from fuel poverty to renewable energy independence, generating over 100% of the farm’s electricity, heating, and transport fuel needs through green hydrogen and renewable electricity.
This pilot project is expected to be completed by December 2025.
