Through the pan-university Energy Academy, we can offer prospective partners opportunities to collaborate through a range of instruments ranging from simple consultancy, contract research and collaborative R&D from the very small to the very large. Ranked on the impact of our work Heriot Watt is 2nd in Scotland, with 82% of our research is regarded as world-leading or internationally excellent. In General Engineering a joint submission by Heriot-Watt University and the University of Edinburgh came 1st in the UK. In Architecture, Built Environment and Planning a joint submission by the University of Edinburgh and Heriot-Watt University came 2nd in the UK.
