The Scottish Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Association is holding the SHFCA2023 Student Poster Competition at our SHFCA2023 Hydrogen Scotland annual conference which takes place in Aberdeen on 25-26 October.
The SHFCA2023 Student Poster Competition is open to students of SHFCA member universities and all students in higher education with links to Scottish universities.
The shortlisted posters will be announced on Monday 16 October. All shortlisted entrants will receive complimentary tickets and are invited to attend and display their posters at the SHFCA2023 annual conference on Thursday 26 October at the P&J Live events complex in Aberdeen.
The shortlisted poster entrants will also be invited to the SHFCA2023 networking reception and awards ceremony at the Aberdeen Art Gallery in central Aberdeen on the evening of Wednesday 25 October. The top three posters will be announced at this awards ceremony and will receive cash prizes of £150 for first place and £75 each for second and third place.

SHFCA2023 Student Poster Competition Rules
- This competition is open to all students from any Scottish Further or Higher education institution and any SHFCA member Further or Higher education institution.
- Entries can address technical, economic, and social aspects of hydrogen and fuel cell development and deployment as part of a low carbon energy system.
- All poster submissions for judging should be sent electronically as A3 size, with text no smaller than 12pt in a standard font (Ariel, Calibri etc)
- Entries must be submitted in pdf format by 5pm on Tuesday 10 October 2023 to [email protected].
- Entrants must include their institution name, course and year of study with their submission.
- The announcement date of the posters shortlisted is Monday 16 October 2023.
- Shortlisted entrants receive complimentary tickets to the SHFCA2023 awards evening on Weds 25 Oct and the conference on Thurs 26 October
- The top three posters will be announced at the evening awards ceremony in Aberdeen on Wednesday 25 October
- There will be one prize of £150 and two prizes of £75 each for the winning posters.
- Shortlisted posters will be featured at the SHFCA2023 awards evening and invited to display at the SHFCA 2023 conference on 26th October.
- The SHFCA2023 conference display posters must be printed to A0 size, with text no smaller than 20pt in a standard font (Ariel, Calibri etc)
