We are developing H2NorthEast in partnership with SSE Thermal, a 1GW CCS-enabled low carbon blue hydrogen production facility on Teesside that will enable large-scale decarbonisation of the region’s energy-intensive industries, and accelerate the UK’s journey to net zero.
We are also exploring developments and partnerships in green hydrogen throughout the UK, and we are part of the Hydrogen Backbone Link, a consortium led by the Net Zero Technology Centre looking to establish a hydrogen export pipeline from Scotland to Germany.
