Business Development Manager
Patrick joined Hydrogen Scotland in March 2023. He has held business development positions in Scottish academia and business since coming to Scotland in 1998.
In 2014 he was appointed by Heriot-Watt University to manage a short-lived but successful renewable energy project, ‘The Energy Academy’ an initiative designed to support cross-disciplinary collaborative research on new renewable energy technologies and approaches to decarbonise the energy supply including carbon capture storage and use with an overall aim to contribute to Scottish, UK and wider global efforts to alleviate the impacts of climate change. Patrick has brought that ambition to Hydrogen Scotland but with a focus on how Hydrogen Scotland can bring together engineers, scientists, planners, social scientists and economists and academics to collectively realise the potential of hydrogen as a low-carbon energy source.
